Commissioning new art for novel ideas.
The New York Times Opinion commissions

Art direction, illustration, photography, editorial

Client: The New York Times

2022–2024

Art direction for The New York Times’s Opinion desk. Every day I would read new essays and commission art to accompany the writing, working closely with artists and editors. The timeline for each artwork was generally between one day to one week.

Design director: Frank Augugliaro; Photo directors: Jackie Bates, Sara Barrett, Jessie Wender
